Blender blockout → Seedance 2.5 horror short (ComfyUI)
You build a rough 3D blockout in Blender to set the camera, action, and timing, then Seedance 2.5 renders the final video. That gives you real directing control instead of hoping a prompt lands.
FLUX 3 Klein, Krea 3 and MOSS-Image all landed within about 24 hours, Kling 4.0 went global, and the most-bookmarked creative technique of the week was Claude Opus 5.5 building 3D models through Blender MCP. 87 verified items from Oct 10–17.
There were two stories this week, and they overlap. The first is open image models. On Oct 15 Black Forest Labs released FLUX 3 Image Klein, an open-weights model with layout control and multi-reference editing. It had ComfyUI templates and a Hugging Face Diffusers guide on day one. Within roughly a day, Krea 3 launched as a fast editing model and OpenMOSS released weights for MOSS-Image under Apache-2.0.
The reception was mixed, and that's useful to know. The Hacker News thread on Klein (207 points) filled up with complaints about anatomy in plain text-to-image. The Hugging Face community landed on a fix: run at least 6 steps, and use long prompts or the prompt upsampler. By Saturday morning BFL had pushed updated workflows.
The second story is agents operating creative software directly. The most-bookmarked creative post we found this week was @rewind02's Opus 5.5 + Blender MCP recipe (1,388 bookmarks): treat every model as code. On YouTube, people built mechas, cafés, and whole games the same way. On GitHub, the fastest climbers were tools built for agents to use: HyperFrames renders HTML to video, and diagram-design gives an agent a set of editorial diagram types. On the video side, Kling 4.0 went global, and the Seedance 2.5 vs Kling 4.0 comparison videos kept coming.
What to do with this: if you make images, try Klein for edits before you judge its text-to-image. If you make 3D or motion, the Blender MCP and HyperFrames recipes in the cards below are the cheapest way to see where agent-driven tools are now.
Three things you can set up in under an hour. Each one comes from something people shared this week, and each has a working starting point.

FLUX 3 Image Klein arrived Oct 15 with day-one ComfyUI templates and Diffusers support, and within 24 hours Krea 3 and MOSS-Image were out too. The catch, covered further down, is that early testers find Klein's raw text-to-image weaker than its editing.
A 5.6B open-weights model released Oct 15: native 4K, editing with up to 10 references, bounding-box layout control, and a build that runs on 8 GB of VRAM. Free commercial use under $5M revenue.

Kling 4.0 went global on Oct 16, so the comparison videos started immediately. Meanwhile the camera is becoming a parameter: Luma's Shot Coverage and ByteDance's world-model demo both re-shoot existing footage from new angles. Housekeeping: the Veo 3.1 preview models retire Oct 22.

The breakout pattern this week is an agent building 3D scenes through code. Opus 5.5 drives Blender over MCP to make props, mechas, and full interiors, and Meshy and Tripo are adding part-level editing and quad meshes for anyone who would rather not write Python.
